Virtual Reality Fans has something to cheer about. The HTC Vive team through a press release today announced the global launch of Viveport.
HTC Vive’s Virtual Reality app store Viveport where customers can explore, create, connect and experience the VR content. Viveport is upbeat about showcasing content across various categories such as Art, Fashion, Music, Sports, Education, travel and much more.
With close to 10 featured apps, the Viveport is now live. What’s more is Viveport has offered the apps at just USD 1 as the launch offer.
“We believe Viveport is the place where customers will start their journey into new virtual reality experiences,” said Rikard Steiber, President of Viveport as part of the press release.
HTC Vive teams across the globe from San Francisco,, Seattle, Taipei, Beijing and London have worked seamlessly for the last few months along with the content creators worldwide on the beta version of Viveport.
As part of the launch Viveport promises followings to its customers,
- Viveport Premieres – The best and Premium content from the top VR creators
- 48-Hour Launch Celebration – USD 1 for an app during the first 48 hours.
- Viveport Community – Connect with other community members developing contents, apps as well as influencers
- Vive Home – Experience streaming content with the browser widgets as well as personal space
Steiber added, “Any Day, we are going to relay a secret message that will reopen a path to unlimited Viveport content for worthy contenders.”
This will be a big boost for the premium segment HTC Vive Virtual Reality Headsets.
What we were though not impressed with was the 404 error we got when we clicked on Lifeliqe VR Museum.
Hope it will have something meaningful to show in next few days. Expect more apps and content in days to come.
Great work by HTC Vive.
Until next time….
